Why House Painting in North Vancouver is Different

We Fix the Problems Before We Paint

North Vancouver gets over 2300 mm of rain a year, and your home takes the full hit.

That’s what causes paint to peel, cedar to rot, and mildew to keep coming back. Most of the time, it’s not the paint that fails. It’s the prep that was rushed or skipped.

Before any house painting or coating goes on, we test moisture levels, address surface failures, and match the right primer to the substrate — cedar siding, Hardie, or stucco. Every time.

Our Residential Painting Services

Services We Offer

We provide painting services for houses, condos, townhomes, and strata across the North Shore, from a single room to a full exterior repaint.

Bedroom with green painted walls and wooden wardrobe

Interior Painting

Living in a half-painted house is nobody’s idea of fun. We work room by room with proper masking and dust control, so you’re not tripping over equipment or breathing fumes for days.

Low-VOC options available.

Two painted house exteriors with blue and coral walls and a green front door

Exterior Painting

One wet winter is enough to expose a paint job that wasn’t prepped properly.

We wash, dry, scrape, sand, and repair before any coating goes on, using primers matched to your substrate, not whatever’s on the truck.

Kitchen with teal painted cabinets and white countertops

Cabinet Painting

Kitchen cabinets take daily abuse. We degrease, scuff, prime, and spray — so the finish holds up, not just looks good on day one.
Stained wooden deck with rope railing

Deck & Fence Coatings

North Shore decks can need attention every 18–24 months.

We use penetrating stains built for wet climates, not film-forming products that peel and trap moisture.

Drywall Repair & Texture Matching

A bad patch job shows through the paint. We take the time to feather and blend repairs so the wall looks like nothing was ever there.

Three pastel painted building exteriors with balconies

Strata & Multi-Unit Painting

Coordinating a repaint across multiple units is a different job entirely.

We handle resident notices, phased scheduling, and tidy work sites, so councils don’t have to manage the process themselves.

Our Process

Our Proven Painting Process

Step 1

moisture check before painting

Site Visit & Moisture Check

Moisture meters, not assumptions. North Shore substrates fail for specific reasons; we find them first.

Step 2

surface preparation before painting

Surface Prep

Wash, dry, scrape, sand, caulk, and prime. This is where most painters cut corners. We don’t.

Step 3

choosing the right paint coating

Coating Plan

We choose the right system for your substrate and exposure. What works on Hardie doesn’t always work on cedar.

Step 4

paint roller application

Application

No spraying over damp surfaces, no rushing cure times. The coating goes on right, or it doesn’t go on.

Step 5

post-painting walkthrough

Walkthrough & Care

We walk the job with you, label your colours, and leave a touch-up kit. You’ll know exactly what was used and where.

About Fixolution Painting

Hola Amigo, I'm Arturo — the founder of Fixolution Painting and probably the most enthusiastic person you'll meet about surface prep.

I started this company because I genuinely care about doing the job right. Not just making it look good on day one, but making sure it holds up. That means taking the time to properly prepare every surface before a drop of paint goes on, even when it would be faster not to.

Since 2018, my team and I have been painting homes and businesses across North Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, bringing the same level of care to every project, whether it's a single room or a full exterior repaint.

If quality matters to you, we'll get along just fine Amigo!

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

For any questions or enquiry feel free to Call us or Schedule an appointment.

How much does a house repaint cost in North Vancouver?

Most of our repaints start around $8,000.

The biggest factors are prep work, access to the space, whether there’s lead-based or oil-based paint, and how much furniture is in the way.

Condos and detached homes are priced differently. We’d rather give you an accurate number after seeing your home than a guess over the phone, and our estimates are always free.

What's included in your quote?

Labour, paint, primer, and prep. Everything. We don’t believe in quoting you one number and adding to it halfway through the job.

How often should I repaint the exterior of my home?

Every 8 years at most. Leave it longer, and what starts as a repaint turns into a repair job.

If peeling paint, rotten fascia, or visible cracks are already visible, then they are signs you’re already at that point.

Can I stay home during the painting?

Yes, and most of our clients do.

We use vacuum-attached sanders, cover everything that needs covering, and run fans to manage fumes.

The goal is that your home feels normal by the end of each day.

Do you help with colour selection?

Yes, 100%.

Once the project is confirmed, we bring Benjamin Moore swatches directly to your home. Choosing colour in your own light makes a real difference.

Do you handle lead-based or oil-based paint?

Yes, we do.

A lot of older North Shore homes still have it, and sometimes the homeowner doesn’t even know.

We check during the site visit and handle it safely so it doesn’t become a surprise mid-project.
